Loudest live band you've ever seen?
Mine has to be Dinosaur Jr. I saw them (original lineup)last night and it could very well be the loudest thing I've ever experienced and that includes experimental/noise shows. It was also the first time I've ever seen a warning on the door of the venue saying "This show will be LOUD. Wear earplugs". So of course I ignored the warning and got right up near the amps. They make my previous loudest show ever (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club) sound like John Denver ... and yes, I mean 2007 John Denver. Simply fucking amazing!
Totally unexpected bit of weirdness: Lou Barlow playing a cover of Ratt's "Round and Round" during his acoustic opening set. [:D][?]
Setlist:
ALMOST READY
WAGON
BACK TO YOUR HEART
BEEN THERE ALL THE TIME
LITTLE FURY THINGS
OUT THERE
THIS IS ALL I CAME TO DO
FEEL THE PAIN
PICK ME UP
CRUMBLE
FORGET THE SWAN
FREAKSCENE
Encore:
JUST LIKE HEAVEN
WHAT IF I KNEW
IN A JAR
MOUNTAIN MAN
