North American Fall 2007 Cure shows re-scheduled for Spring

With all apologies for any inconvenience or disappointment it may cause, we have made a decision to move the September/October 2007 North American Cure shows to April/May 2008.

The schedule as it stands only gives us a couple of weeks to finish our new double album before we hit the road again, and we know this just isn’t enough time to complete the project to our total satisfaction.

Although this last month’s tour of Australasia showed that a great Cure show is not dependent on a new Cure album, it has to be remembered that we hadn’t played Australia for 7 years, New Zealand for 15 years, Japan for 23 years(!), and Singapore or Hong Kong ever before – so the absence of ‘new’ songs in the set was not really much of an issue.

However, we want to remodel/rework the live show for North America, change things around, incorporate new songs… and we need time and focus to do this.

maybe 'clubs' is the reason? Robert again in those massive icehockey arenas + not sure if they sell out a 10.000+ place in vegas - seeing those arenas listed, I am pretty sure there will be lots of room for everyone to move around...

Well, they could play "The Joint" @ the Hard Rock, as they did for the Bloodflowers tour stop, that only holds about 2,000 people.

Or maybe the Pearl @ the Palms?

Maybe the Star of the Desert Arean in Primm? you dont think the Cure could fill a 10,000+ seat arena today?

By the looks of the crowd @ the 2003 Inland Invasion, when the Cure headlined, looks as if they could pack just about any place.

Trust me when I tell you, Vegas gets assed out of ALOT of good shows/bands, especially 80's type bands.

Imagine how unhappy Robert would feel if the [i]only[i] people to attend were the ones like you described!

bummer about the postponement. However, this frees up my September 21st to go see Damien Dempsey, which I was upset about missing. See how things work out!
