Yeah there were only 1000 pressed. I've never actually seen it but I did see it on ebay once a few years ago. I think it went for about $150
here is the link to the page on the site. You can download the songs (the band has OK'd it).

one more question dcappe.....
were there ever any different versions available or B sides from the 'Arias" era? (I do have "Nova Heart" 12" with "Symetry" on b side --but was there a 7" Version of "Nova Heart"? with edit versions? I have the Radio E.P. from that era, I'm really interested in finding out if there are any Demos.
Spoons was the very first concert I went to (Calgary) on the 'Arias' tour...(I was in love with Sandy Horne)...
Didn't care much for them after 'arias', though...thought they went a little 'Richard Marx'

There was a 7" Nova heart single, with non-extended versions of Nova Heart and Symmetry.

Schwenko is correct. The other singles (Arias and Symphonies and Smiling In Winter) had album tracks as b-sides. The new album has a couple of songs which are from this era (actually the whole album is demos which were recorded between 1982-1985). I don't know which ones are specifically from which year but I'm pretty sure Bending, Young English Gentleman, and Spaces are from this time.

I think that was me, I know I paid through the nose for my copy, not like some other board members, who paid much less for their copy.[}:)]
I have seen it a couple of times since on eBay, but I don't know what they went for.

Hey If I could get a hold of a copy, trust me I would. These types of things are always better to have a physical copy of as a collector.
FYI the band did give permission to post these on the site as Mannequin Records doesn't exist any longer and the songs were only ever available back in 1978 as a 45rpm single of 1000 copies. The holy grail for Spoons collectors, indeed.

I have started a poll in the Spoons Forum to vote on your top 5 songs you would like to hear the band play at their December 28 2007 show at Jeff Healey's Roadhouse for the CD Release Party. I will tally the votes and the band will play at least 1 of the top 5 picks at the show. So you have a vote on at least one of the songs they will play at the show. It may not be the number 1 pick but it will be at least 1 of the top 5. Click here
http://www.thespoons.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=186 to go to the forum topic. I've made the topic open to anyone, even if you are not a memeber of the forum and want to vote. If I get too much spam I'll have to close it but for now anyone can vote. There is also a chance for forum members to win a pair of tickets to the show as well. Sign up for the forum and I'll send you the info at
http://www.thespoons.ca/forum .

Ahhh the days of seeing them at the Hole in the Wall alas are a thing of the past; still recent past though.
If, after I depart this vale, you ever remember me & have thought to please my ghost, forgive a sinner & wink your eye at some homely girl.

Hey rotator.
It is actually easier for me to track if if is all in the same place. I made the voting part of the forum open to anyone so that you don't need to be a member. If spam is a problem (so far it is OK), I'll add a vote here as well.
