Have you ever seen them before? I think they're pretty exceptional. And, the live sound has REALLY evolved over the past few years. They're a true band with live bass and drums. And, Danny switches up instruments. It's great! Enjoy the show...

Man, these guys tour like crazy. They've been here (Vancouver) three times already in the past five years or so.

Nah. I've not seen them before. Ladytron has been a guilty pleasure since their debut. The Faint, on the other hand, totally rock my world. I definitely wanna see Ladytron at least once and get a feeling for how they perform live.

They're due for a new album though aren't they? Any news? Their material is getting a little stale on me. I'd be interested to see if they can write more interesting songs or if their formula has run its course. Love 'em, but I've only been good for about 2 to 3 really good songs per album.

That's the same feeling I have towards them. I just think the few songs I like from them are really catchy plus it would be kinda cool to see these true hipsters live[}:)]

Ladytron are friggin' awesome live. Saw their El Rey and daytime(!) UCLA outdoor shows last time through. They never get stale for me. Go!
Unfortunately they picked Memorial Day Weekend to be here in LA, which conflicts with the yearly Detroit Electronic Music Festival [:(]. So I had to pass on buying tickets on Saturday as a result.

Saw them last night. Okay show. Lighting was almost non-existent. They have a couple of new sets of their own lights behind them (wish I had pictures to show you ... one of them are a set of four vertical lines (red/green lights), and the other were a set of four squares about the same height as a person, with regular coloured lights. Most of the time, these were the only lights that were used. The venue's lighting was off. Once in awhile, the spotlight would be on the singer, but asides from then, the stage was pretty much dark, and you couldn't see the band members.
Usual Ladytron show. They sing and don't do much talking, only announcing the song titles.
The new album was on sale ($15CAD), even though it hasn't been officially released yet.
