That's a long interval! I doubt they will disappoint. It seems they've lost none of their edge.

One of the best gigs I've ever seen (outside of The Clash, OMD, and The Jam!) was Gang of Four on their "Songs of Freedom" tour at The Palace in Hollywood, plus the best opening band: Altered Images on their "Bite" tour... 1984 a good year!
Always thought of them as the "thinking" man's post-punk band.

In 1981. in Zagreb they had played in front of more than 5000 newavers (their biggest gig so ever) and after that their Solid Gold was sold in so many copies that you could say that they were more popular here than in Great Britain at the time.
And Gill was recently in Zg for producing Viva Glorio

and he said that he was not aware of how influential that gig was. He even mentioned that he thought it had happened in Ljubljana (Slovenia)

<p align="justify">Whoa. That's crazy. Wish they'd do some gigs here in the States. They were gone before I was even aware there existed a Gang Of Four[V]

They did the gig! Unfortunately, without Burnham and Allen (they left the band 4 days before Zg gig!), but what you can do? It was great no matter!

Bummer. I wonder why Allen (again!) and Burnham left the band?
I saw them 2 years ago at The Palace on their reunion tour and it was one of the greatest gigs I've seen in recent years. It felt like they'd walked out of a 1981 (pre-Sara Lee) timecapsule. Everything was spot on and it was amazing.

According to some web portals:

they didn't see themselves in planned GOF future...
