Posted: Sun Sep 21, 2008 7:16 amI generally don't endorse yelling song requests at the lead singer (because it's annoying), but would someone going to that show do me a favor, and yell out a few song titles from Brighter Than A Thousand Suns, and see what kind of reaction you get from Jaz?! Just don't yell out anything from Outside The Gate, he might throw his mic at you. 
Definitely go see them if you have the chance. They last came to Phoenix in '94 (for Pandemonium), and it was a great, energetic show.

LMAO! Far be it from me to be the one yelling "sing-my-favorite-f**king song" at a concert but I will certainly make an exception when it comes to this one. So I will be the one belting out "
Jaz, sing "Sanity"! and hopefully he will oblige...kindly. I'm in no mood to dodge mics ...or bullets for that matter these days. Anyway, I will record the outcome right her on nwoutpost.

The tour will see Killing Joke take up a two night residency in most venues offering a different set on each evening. On the first night, they will play their first two albums in their entirety, 1980’s self-titled album followed by the album ‘What’s This…For!’. Their
second performance in each city will treat fans to 1994’s Pandemonium and the Island Records singles of’79 to ’80.

They blew my f&cking mind.
One of the greatest gigs I've ever witnessed. Easily in my Top 20. (I've been going to gigs for over 30 years.)
I closed my eyes and 27 years melted away like nothing. They were almost as good as the very first time I saw them back then, at the Whisky-A-Go-Go back in 1981. Unbelievable. (And to think, I thought the reunited Gang Of Four were good.)
Great bands are all about chemistry, I've noticed. I watched a <a href="http://www.fabchannel.com/killing_joke_concert">2006 concert video</a> (from the Paradiso in Amsterdam) on-line with the two nameless drummer & bass players playing Sludge Metal and my expectations sank.
But put the 4 guys that actually made the (early) music - some of the greatest music ever - on stage together and boom, the chemistry's right there again. They made it sound so effortless, like they'd never been away.
I'm struggling to put together a set list, but my brain is still fried. Here's what I've got so far:

Posted: Sun Oct 12, 2008 10:16 amSo I went to see Jaz and the gang last night and it was f$%^ing phenomenal! Jaz's voice was in tip top shape and he looked great. He also expressed how its been 26 years since he and Youth has been in the same room and how fantastic it felt being with the guys who helped put Killing Joke on the map. Despite of the lame ass, incoherent opening band, last night was certainly a night to remember. I tried to take a picture of the set list but the glare caused the picture to be distorted. I was able to copy them down and they are as follows:
