Go-Go's to play at Phoenix Zoo's fundraiser

"It's the only place you get to see live music from a national band, sample beers and have animal encounters," Sutherland said.

ok, whatever. there is something wrong with that quote. Anyway, I like the Go-Go's. Saw them live many years ago and they were awesome. $85?? I get it that it's a fundraiser but come on. Do they realize it was also 100 degrees here yesterday? And it's outside? Yikes!
(Cool that local 80's cover band 68 Guns (great name) will open!)

I won't be there.

I've been to two ZooBrews, got into one for free (Berlin), paid about $50 to see the next one (The Fixx and The English Beat). The ticket prices are flat out outrageous, and the beer tasting set-up is a logistical nightmare. Because of where the vendors set up, and the design of the concessions area, there are some bad bottlenecks with the beer lines. The selection of beers is pretty weak, too, the biggest table being Hensley Distributing (Anheiser-Busch products). It's an interesting concept that is poorly executed every year. Oh, and there's nothing like a warm breeze pushing the combined smells of various animal shit past your nose while watching the show. Not worth the $$ at all. Done with ZooBrew!
