Coming off of 5 nights in LA already announced, Morrissey is doing 5 theater nights in NYC:

Mon 05/03/04 New York, NY Apollo Theatre
Tue 05/04/04 New York, NY Apollo Theatre
Thu 05/06/04 New York, NY Apollo Theatre
Fri 05/07/04 New York, NY Apollo Theatre
Sat 05/08/04 New York, NY Apollo Theatre

Interesting venue. Wonder if it's the street cred it offers (the Strokes did a bunch of gigs there too), or if it's just that it's not a fookin Clear Channel venue. Based on the strength of the single, Irish Blood English Heart (that even 92.3 K-Rock in NY is playing! What up with that?!), I might go. Moz lost it for me somewhere around Vauxhall & I, but this single is a rockin good tune.

I saw Annie Lennox there last year, it has great ambience, though I'm still having nightmares of Bette Midler scowling @ Annie from her opera box.

I was at the Thursday show at the Apollo in NY and it was a great set. He was on, his voice was killer, and the band was actually really impressive.

Mozzer did Shoplifters of the World Unite and A Rush and A Push and the Land Is Ours, and ended the se
