The Live 8 concerts are this weekend. I remember back in 85 the Live Aid concerts were all televised here in the US. Live 8 will be on the BBC and on XM. The Live 8 web site hints that BBC partner networks will carry the concert to other markets. "Partner broadcasters in Europe and America will also be working to bring this huge international event to the world." Does anyone know where we can find the concerts here? Here is a partial list of the artists I would like to see: Annie Lennox, Sting, U2, UB40, The Cure, A-ha, Roxy Music, Duran Duran, Pet Shop Boys etc.[:)]

Did you miss a lot of the acts? AOL has on-demand streaming, and this site has Live8 downloads: http://www.sonician.com/live8/list.html

How horrendous was MTV's coverage? At the beginning of the show, following the U2 Paul McCartney performance, they threw together a 30 second clip of U2 , Elton John, Coldplay w/ Richard Ashcroft doing a Verve song, sandiwched in between ,TWO full length Black Eyed Peas performances. Hot! Almost as good as cutting off Pink Floyd to show a second Jay Z with Linkin Park song!
