Despite my little joke up above, I actually totally get into dreams and symbols and all that. I have long been fascinated by dreams. I tend to have long, pleasant, epic--style dreams that I look at more as stories than anything else. I rarely have nightmares--can't even recall the last time I had one--but do have plenty of anxiety-type dreams. I remember colors, sounds, sights, people, etc., and used to write them all down, years ago. I love all that stuff.
Did you know that:
1. sleeping in a warm/ hot room will increase your dreams' vividness, as does wearing socks, mittens, or hats to bed.
2. Most people usually dream up to 4 times a night; or more specifically, go thru 3-4 dream cycles a night.
3. You are more apt to recall a dream if you were woken up during one, which explains why we have that sense of being yanked out a dream when our alarm clock goes off.
4. not much explanation as to why some people always recall their dreams yet others hardly ever remember theirs--and why some just remember snippets here and there.
5. as unique as we and our dreams all are, it is astounding how frequently common situations/themes pop up in ALL our dreams--failing exams, car/driving dreams, falling, flying, water, friends, fights, etc. Who has NOT had a flying or falling dream at some point in their lives ?[?]
just my 2 c. Fascinated student of the dreamworld am I.
