Jaywalking

Postby zill » Fri Sep 22, 2006 2:00 am

OK, I don't want to become the "road rage" guy on the board, especially after my "cyclist" post.

I'm in a state of shock, though, as I saw a jaywalker get mowed down in the street right before my eyes this morning. He was all fucked up. Nasty. I haven't been able to do any work yet I'm so frazzled.

I don't know who's at fault - the driver of the Ford Bronco who was battling the morning sun right in his eyes or the jaywalker meandering across a busy street (who admitted to the paramedics he was hopped up on methadone). I sympathize with both parties.

That sucks!!! [:(]
I've jaywalked with the best of them but always when it was safe. I hate when people jaywalk with little kids especially when there is a crosswalk less than 20 feet away.
Remember willie the whistle says, when crossing the street. "Look Left, Right and then Left again"

At least he wasn't in pain. I saw a similar thing when I lived in Vancouver: intersection accident with one of the cars careening up onto the sidewalk wiping out a bus shelter full of people. Nasty was a good word choice.
