Was Lidle ever able to join the players' union? I read that since he was a replacement player in '94 that he didn't receive licensing royalties.

heard today on espn that lidle will be eligible for the mlb pension, which i thought was odd since he was a replacement player. i think he also get's what's left of his contract which is about 3 mil. they are debating whether he is eligible for the accidental death life insurance of another 1.5 mil. there was something about them not knowing if he was the pilot or the passenger.
