Bridge School coming to iTunes

Postby DonGately » Mon Oct 23, 2006 5:18 am

A friend of mine went to the annual Bridge School benefit concert this weekend, where it was announced that all 20 years of performances would be released on iTunes on Nov 14th. I haven't seen this substantiated anywhere else, yet, so I don't know if it's literally every tune that has been performed or a subset.

For those who aren't familiar with it, this is an acoustic show organized by Neil Young that pulls in bands from various genres. Along with the types of bands that you would expect Young to invite, there are some NWO faves who have performed, including: Elvis Costello, Billy Idol, David Bowie, Ministry, etc.

This past weekend, Trent Reznor performed an acoustic set with a string quartet. Apparently, it was phenomenal. Death Cab for Cutie also played.

I found a list of past line ups (except this year's) on a Young fansite. You can check here if you're interested:
