Top of the Pops is history

After 40 years the British music show "Top of the Pops" is now off the air. It made its last broadcast a few weeks ago. The show launched so many music careers including a lot of New Wavers in the 80's..

Good riddance I say. The last few years of TOTP was merely pandering to the industry. It was nothing but boy bands and rubbish guest celebrity prsenters. TOTP2 was the real gem... Whatever TOTP may have once been, that show has been dead and gone a long time.
