New Wave in...Wine?

Postby ben_at_work » Sun Jan 21, 2007 9:07 am

I just wrapped up the label design for a pretty big winery here in Northern California. It's a real fun brand but I can't say the name or post a picture yet (stupid confidentialty clause) anywho, I came up with the concept and they let me run with it.

I hid the Album "Blue Monday" in it.
I always try to hide stuff but was happy I could get my fav album on this label.

For motors, there is a clock and it's set to 4:20 (I had a calander too but they wanted to know the significance of 4/20, i just took it out) I also hid a pulp fiction reference too.

Anywho, I'll be sure to post a picture of it on release day.

Oh, it's a Petite Syrah blend and pretty tasty too. I took a barrel sample the other day.

They snuffed my idea for a brand called "Rock Lobster Red"
and I'm trying to brand a UK wine right now so that should be bloody well interesting [;)]

That sounds great Ben.
I'd love to see the label when you can show it to us. [:)]

It's actually a Petite Syrah / Petit Sirah Blend.
From what I tasted it wasn't peppery at all. I agree with you though, most are peppery.
