Would you go see the new/old Van Halen?

I see they have a 40 date summer tour lined up, with Eddie's son Wolfgang replacing Michael Anthony on bass and Diamond Dave back on vocals. I can imagine with any supergroup reunion the tickets will be outrageous. Is anyone planning on seeing them if they play near them?

I hate Van Halen, no matter who happens to be in the band. So, no, I'd never go see them.

I can only listen to Van Halen music when it is performed by Roddy Frame.

Why TF was Michael Anthony replaced? Doesn't matter...Van Halen died in 1985. Whatever they're planning to do is gonna be embarrassing, and I'll bet good money that Dave will piss off Eddie (again) and we'll see Sammy or Gary finish up the tour, if it doesn't get cancelled.

I wish they would say why Michael Anthony is being replaced.
But to answer the question. Hell yes I would go. I have seen Van Halen many many times, from 1981 on. More times with DLR then Sammy Hagar. But either way, I would love to check it out. (as long as David Lee Roth doesn't wear his assless pants)[:p]

*edit, I do think Hutter is right. I doubt the tour will make it through all the dates.

I'm big on talk radio so I listened to DLR's show. I shudder to think what he turned into. Thank god they took him off. He was so full of himself that every single show and conversation turned to him telling stories about how great he is.

I'm with Hutter. VH died in 85.
No matter what he is now, Diamond Dave and the boys rocked.

From what I've read, EVH didn't even want Michael Anthony going out on the last Reunion tour with Sammy Van Hagar. Only way EVH would allow it is if Anthony agreed to reduced percentage.

I initially thought* that it was because Anthony had toured with Hagar in between the last time VH went out on the road.

EVH has shown himself to be an arrogant cock.

No, I wouldn't go to one of their shows.

*: I don't spend a lot of time thinking about Van Halen. Only hot chicks who go to their concerts, like Marie3.
