"Two Plus Two" stores at the mall?

I saw this picture:

and was a bit confused. The "two plus two" store(with lovely outdated font), what do you remember of it? Was that some chain of stores in the 80s?

The funny thing about said picture is that it was taken in 2006. Is that store some sort of anachronism that has survived obscurity?

Am I crazy here? That's like finding um, uh, an A&W drive-in resturaunt. There's a sign on hwy 36 that lists one at the exit, but it is nowhere to be found.
