Prince Sues His Fans (And Their Websites)

Postby glokstadt » Thu Nov 08, 2007 6:15 pm

In a bold-/butt-headed (you decide) move, Prince wants all of likenesses and music taken off of websites dedicated to him.

Seems like a retarded move, piss off the people who worship you and buy your albums...

The UK take on it:

Another short article with a different slant:

He must be getting advice from a former board member.

Maybe he can rework one of his hits and dedicate it to his fans, "Kiss"(My Ass Remix). If he really wanted to punish them he should make them watch his movies.

Perhaps in an attempt to spin things in his favor, Prince sent a new song, "PFUnk", to the protest site, Prince Fans United.

He's quickly becoming The Artist Known As Used-To-Be-Interesting to me.

I agree with Glok. It is retarded to piss off your fans like that. Maybe he ought to stop spending all his time monitoring fansites from his studio and work on making some music that doesn't suck for a change.

No way. Anyone who plays a mean bball game and serves pancakes afterward is OK by me. He just needs to treat his fans a lot better. And not believe all his press clippings.

er, no. not even close. he may be a lawsuit-happy, arrogant, petty, prick; but he's not even close to michael jackson weird. last i checked that's his actual face, and he's not had to leave the u.s. in shame to live in dubai. and he's not broke. and he's not been charged with fondling kids. sure, he's not pleasant, and he has a maniacal paranoia concerning his image and songs, but he's not an actual living circus freak.
