How do I convert a wps document to open with word 2002 ? is there an ext. to type in, a converter to download ?? Ive tried the extension .rtf but that didnt work.... please help - thanx

I have no firsthand experience with this, but Microsoft does offer a converter. Some of the steps to do the conversion are version specific. Hope this helps:

It's dated 1999, and I don't know what the latest Works formats are. People should stick with Word 6.0 compatible documents [:)].
Side question: Does anyone know what the latest Word/doc version that XP's Wordpad is compatible with? For example, Win95 Wordpad could open up to Word 6 docs.
