Baseball Songs

Postby Spit » Thu Apr 03, 2008 6:11 am

My 8 year old nephew loves everything about baseball and asked me if I had a couple of baseball type songs that he wrote down.I thought it would be great to make him a cd full of baseball tunes or even the type of songs you might hear at a game.
This is what I have so far.

John Fogerty - Center Field
Damon Carr - The Closer
Gary Glitter - Rock 'N' Roll (part 2)
Terry Cashmen - Talkin' Baseball (Red Sox version)
Queen - We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions
Take Me Out To The Ballgame
MLB On Fox Baseball Theme
Alan Parson's Project - Sirius
Abbot and Costello - Who's On First
The Dropkick Murphy's - Tessie

Any other ideas?

Have you bought him any steroids yet?

I think I have a cool version of Take Me Out To the Ballgame by maybe The Goo Goo Dolls?

Paradise by the Dashboard Light? "He's trying for third..."

Probably not for an 8-year-old.

Chuck Berry - Brown-Eyed Handsome Man?

Bruce Springsteen - Glory Days?

Sparks - All You Ever Think About Is Sex? (Oh yeah, the kid's only 8).

Thanks Scramjet , I think the Berry and Springsteen songs might work. Maybe I'll hold off on the Sparks song for now.
