heh heh,
check it out; one of our local bars is having a "Smiths/ Morrissey" night, in honor of Morrissey's 49th (!) birthday, featuring music and trivia. Mr. KYYX is also coming along. Should be interesting how it gets carried out !

Can you even imagine how depressing that night will be? There won't be enough alcohol.

Moz has written some of them most depressing lyrics but there's alot to be said about his sense of humor. Consider:

Frankly Mr. Shankly
Panic
Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others
Girlfriend In A Coma
Nowhere Fast
Shoplifters of the World Unite
This Charming Man
William It Was Really Nothing

Or "Morrissey Rides A Cockhorse" by Warlock Pinchers (a true classic, btw in case you've never heard it). [:D]

The good thing about nights like this is that it keeps all the miserable cunts in one place so that everybody else in the town can have a good time.

oh yous guys, cut it out![;)]

It turned out to be really boring and we didn't stay long. Luckily, Burt's never charges a cover. They just played a bunch of Smiths songs (which was really cool, esp. since they emphasized the early Smiths material) and had some trivia and mini-contests. But the pacing was too slow and I think things really didn't get started until much later, like after 10:30. And that's too late for us. Appropriately dirge-y. And there were some real hardcore Moz fans, too !

LOL! [:D]

KYYX4ever: Aren't all Morrissey fans hardcore?

His new single in the UK is being released for one week only. Still, at least it won't affect the sales figures.
