Morrissey's come up with some bad song titles, to be sure, but -- and I'm saying this as a total non-fan -- he at least worked them into the song most of the time. Some of the time, there was even a vocal hook to go with them.
Fall Out Boy's inane song titles:
a) Are not found in the lyrics
b) Have nothing to do with the lyrics
c) Aren't clever enough to make you excuse a and b.
Then you've got stuff like "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race," which is still terible, but at least they put it in the lyrics.
Admittedly, Wentz is capable of coming up with decent titles when he wants to (which isn't often). "Dance, Dance" and "Thnks fr th Mmrs" (or however you spelled it) -- maybe they don't bring anything new to the table, but at least you can guess what the thing is called by just listening to it. "Mmrs" is sort of halfway clever when you realize that they took out the vowels because somebody at the label told them their song titles were TOO LONG.
