Elton John - Red Piano Show Review

Postby coop41 » Sun Jul 27, 2008 3:39 pm

Took my wife to see Elton John (one of her favorites) at Caesar's in Vegas Saturday night.

Venue is amazing, show was about 1:45 minutes of all the hits, huge video screen with newly created videos that accompany the song, all the normal Vegas lighting, etc, tons of boobs- on both the videos and giant inflatable ones. Some Guest Star Surprises on the videos. Great sound, band was outstanding. I am by no means an Elton John fan in the sense I don't own any CD's nor would I pop on a CD but he played a lot of his rock songs and put on a show that is recommended.

He even called Celine Dion a "Skinny Bitch" and "Singing Q-Tip" as he bagged on her on several occasions (She played Caesar's prior).

On a side note, we were staying at The Luxor, as I was walking down the hall toward my room Saturday afternoon, who do I walk by but Criss Angel (he performs there). He disappeared before I could say anything to him.

Busy weekend in Vegas with the Olympic Basketball game Friday night vs. Canada (who knew they could field a basketball team?) and the Cotto v. Margarito fight (which both my wife and I wanted to go to).

Next time, try "Hey, I have friends who are gay. Live and let live is what I always say, whether you're black, white, red or purple...um...or gay."
