Griffin iMic worth it?

I've always bitched up and down about the lack of audio inputs on my computer.

You see, many moons ago, when I lived in a tiny apartment, I had an audio mixer for my: tv card, PS2, VCR, computer's audio output, etc.

Well, now i basically use it to control master volume level on my computer, and nothing else.

I noticed the griffin iMic on another thread. Yes, where additonal audio ports on my case simpply don't do anything, I can just add audio ports as I have free USB ports. Is it worth it? Is there a true stereo option to it? I'd love a permanent hookup for my turntable in my PC without fidgeting around in case I want to hook up a game console(for recordings), or a headset for skype, etc.

I've used the iMic for several years now to digitize hundreds of tracks from vinyl and cassette. For the $50 price, I'd say absolutely it's worth it. It will give you true stereo sound. If you don't have a USB turntable it will work great. Just run your RCA plugs from your RIAA amplifier outputs into the iMic inputs, connect the USB plug to your computer and you're set. I'd be happy to email you a track that was digitized using the iMic if you want to check quality. I use it exclusively.

Now the only problem is, I can't find one. Tried MicroCenter, Circuit Shitty & Best Buy, even an Apple store. Got bupkis. Why would Griffin discontinue such a nice useful piece of hardware? I don't want to buy & install another sound card just to get more inputs. I'll pay the $50 and take up a USB port instead of shifting around audio cables.
