Heard today that the radio icon has done his final sign off on this mortal coil.

Enjoyed listening to his broadcasts and unusual stories. His strangely affected delivery and unapologetically weird, word pronunciations were simultaneously interesting and irritating. From what I gather, dude was an all American, hard headed, chap-ass.

I liked listening to him when I was a kid, but I lost interest when I realized how stilted some his segments were. Still, he was unique and an institution. RIP.
