Does anyone have any of these volumes?
It was originally a series of 12x12" books that showed what the author thought were good album cover artwork. There's also some text, but I didn't read them.
I don't know how many books there were in the series, but the first one was published in the late 70s, and I only have volume two, which was published in 1982.
The one I have featured some covers from Simple Minds (as well as other covers by Assorted Images), Joy Division + OMD (and other Saville artwork) ... uh, can't remember what else, but there's lots, from a wide genre of music.
It seems that the first volume was re-published last year (I think the cover is new):

I believe I have all that were published plus 1 devoted strictly to new wave / punk.
Very good books and I still dust them off and look through them every now and then.
