Eastbound And Down & Better Off Ted

Postby coop41 » Thu Apr 09, 2009 5:22 am

Anybody watch these? I don't usually watch a bunch of TV, Eastbound & Down (http://www.hbo.com/eastboundanddown/) is about as crude as you can get (HBO) and Better Off Ted (http://abc.go.com/primetime/betteroffted/index?pn=about) will surely get cancelled but is odd enough that I like it. (I just realized it is the only show on ABC I watch).

I watched every episode of Eastbound and Down. I didn't really like the first episode and almost gave up on it but I stuck with it and it grew on me. Steve was pretty hilarious. Never saw the other show.

Ha! I kept calling my oldest son Stevie every time I asked him to do something for me and it took him a few times before he realized what I was doing!

I watched Eastbound and Down mainly because of Will Farrell's involvement as executive producer... it was pretty crude but funny.

Haven't seen Better Off Ted. Really? is that the only ABC show you watch?

What about Lost (I've watched everything til this season, but have all of this season on the Tivo to catch up),
Ugly Betty (I've seen it, but don't watch regularly)
Pushing Daisy's (seen it twice)
Desperate House Wives (watch regularly)
Grey's Anatomy (use to watch, but have not in a while)
Samantha Who? (have not watched, not sure why)
Private Practice (never seen it, couldn't care less)
Scrubs (I watched regularly when it was on NBC, and have seen it a few times since it moved to ABC, still pretty funny and I'll continue to watch when I remember).

"Better Off Ted" is terrific. So it goes without saying I have no idea how it got on ABC. I wish it hadn't...

Compared with "Ted," "Eastbound & Down" isn't in the ballpark. But then what do I know. I liked "Arliss."

I didnt realize that Better Off Ted was by the same guys who brought us Andy Ricther Controls the Universe. They both definately have alot of similarities.

I havent seen Eastbound since I took off HBO from my service a year ago. They havent had any good shows since Deadwood, Carnivale, Rome and Sopranos went off the air. Showtime pretty much took the ball from HBO because of shows like Dexter and Californication. Hopefully HBO does greenlight the full season of Song of Fire and Ice since I loved all the novels.

I loved East Bound. My friends and I were glued to the TV every air night since the first.
I really don't like having to wait until 2010 to see new episodes, though. That freaking sucks.

I haven't seen Better Off Ted, but will look into it.
