Certainly, there was no way of finding a song that says 'happy birthday' that was written outside of the church--a song that general public would know. So, Mormons came up with their own—in fact four of their own. One begins 'Happy, Happy Birthday [fill in Mormon name] dear.' Another starts 'Have a very Happy Birthday.' To really mix it up, Mormons can sing 'This month is such a special one; It’s birthday-time for you.' What is really nice about that particular ditty is a little further into the song you get the phrase 'zip-a-dee-ay and heigh-dee-ho' .... whatever that means? And, yet another Mormon birthday song starts with 'You’ve had a birthday; shout "Hooray!"' So, Mormons have their own birthday songs. If you don’t like these songs, well zip-a-dee-ay and heigh-dee-ho."[/i]
