Excellent TEAM effort by the Canadiens.
Crosby looking exhausted/frustrated was not the Penguins only problem.
-Malkin skated away from the delivery of every possible check.
-Guerin couldn't keep up the pace or keep puck possession when pressured at all. He had two giveaways which led to two goals and the loss in game 6.
-Kunitz had two giveaways leading to two goals in game seven's loss.
-Goligoski does not know the meaning of get the puck to the net. Apparently expert passing leads to a win, not scoring goals.
-Letang can't handle a pass cleanly. He has to take time to mishandle every puck sent his way.
-Gonchar looked like he was playing the game with a Bluetooth set in his helmet & was talking with his agent during the first two periods about which team he was going to sign with next season.
-Fleury allowed a weak goal in almost every game.
-Ponikarovsky was nonexistent. Worst trade in recent memory.

Jefe, I do absolutely agree with your synopsis.
However, I was disappointed by Crosby's seeming lack of leadership. His star didn't shine and he wasn't able to lead his squad out of their funk...because he was in one of his own. He seemed practically invisiable at times. A real leader takes the negative energy and frustration and turns it into something positive to inspire his team.
Good for the Habs, they played with passion, but as I originally hail from Nova Scotia, I was sad to see our hometown hero, Crosby, stinking out the joint.
