I agree that Polanski should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and that any defense or minimizing of his crimes are totally inexcusable.

At the same time, however, I notice that some in the media who demand justice in the Polanski case are the same ones who have insisted over and over that "we must look forward, not back" with regard to crimes/violations committed by our political leaders.

Not me. This is about prosecuting lawbreakers, irrespective of political beliefs. Samantha Geimer was a victim, and she should see justice (belatedly) served.
