Oh, sorry. I just thought that's what you meant when you said this, "I'm sure they find it very hard to simply decide to be happy or content or positive, and perhaps find other peoples' projection that they "should" be that way probably puts even more pressure to be more "normal" [yuck]." Marv, no, it doesn't take losing your mind to consider your words. You can just choose to avoid judgmental buzz words about others when you're making a statement just about yourself. These past couple of days, you've been making commenable attempts and shout outs for people to be more inclusive and positive, yet you're still getting some push-back. I think part of it is that I've seen phrases from you in those same posts and threads like "hapless reader", "that's garbage", "attention seeking", "immature", "crybabies", "trolls", "weak attempt at being spiteful", whatever. Yeah, various people might be all that, and you're free to call them out on it in direct responses to them. But in the context of inclusiveness or positivity, it can be self-defeating to your point IMHO.

I wanted to add that this is totally true for some people. My best friend used to get so sore at me b/c I was so cheerful, peaceful, and generally happy all the time. She wasn't. (she'd had a terrible background, and a resulting dour attitude.) In her eyes, people who acted cheerful made her feel bad. Made her feel worse about herself. So your words here are quite true.

Sorry Blir, I guess I was just raised with maybe a little more of the "tough love" ethic I suppose - hence my philosophy and outlook. Everything is subjective, including our own philosophies - I will definitely own up to that [|)]
