<p align="justify">Holy shit. I just finished [i]Old Boy[/i]. I was expecting to see some cheep Korean movie, but it was good. It resembles [i]The Game[/i] a lot, so if you liked [i]The Game[/i] you will like [i]Old Boy[/i]. That shit was crazy. Koreans have a knack for writing a lot of "implausible" situations into their movies and tv shows, but it worked really well this time.

Eastern Promises. Brutally violent in spots but really good. A good followup to David Cronenberg's History of Violence. Armin Mueller-Stahl is fantastic in it as the elderly boss. Some X-files fans might remember him as one of the Syndicate members, Strughold.

Saw Cloverfield which I did enjoy although flawed in some parts. I didnt get dizzy from the camera work unlike Open Water. It seems that most of the audience laughed towards the end of the movie which may mean the movie will be mixed with either people hating it or loving it

Black Book or Zwartboek - a dandy German film about a Jewish woman and the Dutch resistance. Was worried that it was a Paul Verhoven flick (ultra violence and shit stories like Total Recall and Starship Troopers), but I guess he does better work in Dutch and German. Long flick but very good if you want to get absorbed in something. Some twists that you will not see coming.

<p align="justify">I thought it was a Dutch production. That was the same guy from "The Lives Of Others," but I liked the bastard SS officer, Franken. He was such a loathesome fellow, esp. when he's playing the piano so giddily.

Fuck, that's right! It was bugging the hell out of me re where I'd seen that guy before. Franken was a trip - like in another life, he would have been this jovial dairy farmer just as easily as a murderous SS officer.

Watched "Joshua": another entry in the creepy kid sub-genre of the creepy movie genre. Certainly better than most movies in this category and it has a pretty decent ending. And the kid who plays Joshua is frickin' weird.

Cloverfield last night BOO........................the best part were the previews for other movies including Ironman and Hellboy II. Plus a 20 second snippet for Star Trek.

I watched a bunch over the weekend - all girly movies & not really my thing.
Lake House - I'm not really sure what was going on. I'm also not really sure why Keanu Reeves keeps getting work. Sandra Bullock is always cool though.

Music & Lyrics - I really hate formula romance movies, but this was cute. Nice 80's pop spin & I love Drew Barrymore.

What Ever Happened to baby Jane. I haven't seen it in probably 25 years & probably didn't understand much back then. It was great, but really disturbing. Baby Jane looked just like an Aunt of mine did - (minus the ringlets and heart-shaped beauty mark...) It's also funny, knowing how much they hated each other in real life and tried to sabotage each other. Good movie, very dark.

American Hardcore. It was interesting but I wish the concert footage had been a little longer.
