Devouring my Sugar Sod Pops and Powdered Toast this morning got me thinking about Ren and Stimpy. I remember literally rolling the floor when I first watched that cartoon ("Space Madness" and Ren threatening to use his toothbrush-- by the way, the History Eraser Button's been pushed on this board before, right?), and then went on to tape just about every episode thereafter. Some time ago I pulled out one of the tapes and tried to watch... but the fun seemed to have lost its charm. Also tried to teach my daughter to play "Don't Whiz on the Electric Fence", but she just don't get it.

Family Guy is one of the few reasons I keep my television.

And I enjoy much of what CN's Adult Swim put out lately: Harvey Birdman, Perfect Hair Forever... Minoriteam has its moments... And I eagerly await the return of Venture Bros., but I may be alone there.

Daria's also my hero..... I've always liked that show so much. I can't believe that I'm not the only one here that likes Daria.
South Park's also great.. ermeber thta episode in which Stan becomes goth??? That was rockin. And that episode in which chef has to face a legal demand and they organise a concert just to pay for his lawyer's expenses... Elton John's and gone Joe Strummer's voices are feutured in that episode.
I don't like Ren and Stimpy... waned to but never could.

And old Simpsons rock!!! I've always said that everything that happens in life is connected to a Simpson's episode. And then... Parker and Stone made a South park episode on the same idea!! [:D]

"Space Madness" is THE funniest cartoon I have ever seen. The History Eraser Button, the toothbrush, eating the bar of soap, thinking it's ice cream, had me laughing till I was purple. They never came close to duplicating the insanity of that episode.

I also liked Daria a lot. My favorite episode was the one where the visiting quarterback told Daria she's just a "misery chick". He then dies, and everyone asks Daria for advice because she's supposedly always thinking about death.

Overall, my favorite cartoon series was "The Tick".

I love that episode too! I actually just watched it again just to write that scene down! (yeah yeah i could have found it easier on t'internet but wheres the fun in that? [:D])

That was because everyone perceived she understood "the Dark Side" a lot[8D] Her only retort to that claim was, "Are you talking about... 'The Force'?"[:D]

A freind of mine was in a band named "Inch" circa 1992 here in San Diego (A band, along with No Knife from San Diego, who nearly single handed created the 'Emo' scene....dont blame them for all the crappy bands that followed)---ANYWAY....
::::their first E.P. Demo had the songs

"We're Riding" as well as "I'm The Cat"......obviously Big Ren And Stimpy fans...
