I think Spaz is talking about people like Randall Roq have nothing meaningful to say except stupid statements like "WHY DON'T YOU ALL JUST SHUT UP!!!!" This kind of reply doesn't add any beneficial to the discussion except create more fire and anger. I do think that arguments are good for the forum, any forum actually and we're all talking about something that is so subjective so no one should expect everyone to agree with them on anything. However, there is an appropriate way to state your disagreements with someone and it shouldn't involve name calling or something like "WHY DON'T YOU ALL JUST SHUT UP!!!!"

Sarcasm should have to wear a sign around here.

Hey guyinsf, did you see the little wink at the bottom?!

See this is part of the problem - too many thin-skinned morons.

If you can't see the obvious sarcasm in a statement like that then please really do just shut up.

See...see.

I propose the following:

<Font size=10><blink> Sarcastic remark!!!</blink></font size>

be added anytime there is an attempt to be sarcastic.

E-mail and forums are very touch sometimes...

Yes, I knew that Randal's e-mail was sarcastic and funny. I was going to post something similar to help lighten the atmosphere, but I am so anti-emoticons that I felt it wouldn't work without one, so I didn't...

I can also understand guyinsf, who is clearly feeling what I'm feeling in terms of some of the more obnoxious people here and elsewhere.

I always have to remember that most people here don't understand or at least know my sense of humor so some may find me offensive or think I'm weird (both of which are true). Not everyone will see humor in what I see or feel angry at what angers me.

All I really wanted to do with this is to bring it to other people's attention to think before they act...

P.S. I hate emoticons, but if there were emoticons with boners, I'd happily use those! :)

No, Spaz I do agree with what you said. I also thought it was time for a completely sarcastic remark. Imagine my surprise to see that it could be taken seriously. I guess my problem is I don't take too much of what I read on the net/spew seriously but others do.

In fact these days there are a lot of people who take a lot of stuff way, way, way too seriously. I mean jeez, with a fucking war going on my remark is your biggest concern, guyinsf?

And therein lies the problem...yes sarcastic remarks ought to be marked in giant bold letters and then even really stupid people would know that the remark is meant as a joke. I have learned my lesson.

SARCASM- This is really fun! -END SARCASM

Yes, that works - OH! MORE SARCASM

Haven't you learned?

P.S. Please add a SARCASM at the beginning of my statement and an END SARCASM at the end. I felt that having too many SARCASMS in this post would just confuse people. END END SARCASM

On a serious note though-

I agreed with everything Spaz said- which is why I try not to take the internet too seriously.
I have accepted the fact that I share this world with many people who cannot laugh at even the most absurd statements.

I appreciate a sense of humor.

I don't appreciate having people climb up on their high horse and telling me what is and isn't appropriate to laugh at. Or people who feel they are carrying the moral torch for the world (the left and the right) And boy, do I hate political correctness. So basically I could do without about 99% of the population.

Now if you'll excuse me I have to go club a baby seal. And then I'm going to go stop the war with my rotating 24 hour hunger strike.

Because I care more than you.

So yes, I do think it was a direct result of my post.

...and if you think that Like an Angel is better than Save a Prayer, you need therapy.

That's a well known fact[}:)] There are better songs than "Like An Angel". Anyone who thinks otherwise has to be crazy.
