Anyone ever notice there are a lot of people that hate children but love cats? I've run into quite a few over the years. Maybe it's genetic.

Myself, I was adopted. At one time I envisioned adopting, but now that I have three kids, unless I win the lotto, it isn't going to happen.

Got two, 8 and 5.

They are so batshit crazy right now they may not live until Christmas Morning. The daughter's (5) birthday is on the 14th, and we don't do anything Christmas until it passes. But she is running around like Hammy fron "over The Hedge" and it's making me and the Mrs exhausted.

I'll have to put them up for sale on ebay. Again.

Guilty as charged [:D] Me and my sis both. I think it runs in families but isn't exactly genetic . . . some childhoods don't encourage repetition of the experiment.

Plus, cats poop in a box and don't have to go to college [:D]

My husband jokes that with dogs, you can leave them in the house/ yard (we have a dog door) all day, as long as they have plenty of water and food, and no-one can call Social Services on you, which you can't do with kids.

I wish I had a house full! Unfortunaltly I don't have any, but 2 of my 6 sisters have 4 and one of my 2 brothers have 4.The rest of them have 3,2 1 with one on the way!! Kids are great!

I do not think Nazi- type households make children to grow up better... It only makes children become adults with a lot of resentment inside.
And I see this proved every day...

Discipline is good... but strict discipline just creates children that end up rebelling against their parents in the long term or that keep a lot of secrets from them.
