What movie did you see last night 2

I actually watched two last night. Made it a doobie double header. Cheech & Chong - Up In Smoke and Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle. Totally stupid humour and totally hilarious.

Yo. I actually watched it the followng day. Sorry I never got back to you. Here's my take on the ending:

As the father drives Ed Norton to jail, he describes how he could instead drive him to some small town in the middle of nowhere and the possible life which Norton could build. Spike Lee shows us the images of this life along with the father's monologue. Afterward, the camera cuts to Norton in the car. Thing is, we don't know which way the father went. Towards the jail or towards the new life? I think the ending is meant to be open-ended, with the viewer having to walk away with his own interpretation of the choice that was made.

I saw the movie "Next" with Nicholas Cage last night (thank God for Netflix). It's based on the Philip K Dick short story "The Golden Man" about a man who can see two minutes into the future and can look at the different outcomes from whatever action he takes in that timespan. I thought it was very good, despite some typical action movie cliches. It's no Blade Runner (but then again, who does, I mean, what is?[:D]) but I quite enjoyed it.

Last night I watched "Left Luggage" with Isabella Rossellini and I have to say that I loved this movie.

Hey Marv, that was my take also. That was brilliant in my world. I would have taken off if I were him. Rosario was totally hot. I have a huge crush on her, I'll watch her in any movie.But I think that the movie was excellent. Also Marv,I recommend Brooklyn Rules for you.

I say super good! It was like a new version of last american virgin. Teenage, drinking, girls, and a lot of laughs. It won't win awards but it was worth the $4 bucks I paid for the hot dvd from the Chinese guy. Gotta love New York Biotches!

Halloween- remake by Rob Zombie. If you like slashers, you will like this. It goes to the beginning to explain how Mike got that way. Well made remake and improves on the first.

Was the Sentinel the one with the woman who sat up in the attic of a building "watching?" I remember that was pretty good - the part when the naked ghost guy runs through the lead characters apartment was really freaky & totally "out of the blue."

Has anyone seen 28 weeks later? I really liked 28 days later & wondered if the sequel was as good.

The Mr. had ordered "The Burbs" from Netflix, so we watched that. (He's on this mission to make me watch a bunch of movies that everyone in the world--except for me--has seen).

It was not funny. I hated it!

I did see 28 weeks later and I did like it. For a zombie flick it could have been a lot worse. It did remind me of the latest dawn of the dead remake with Ving Raymes?

I get all freaked out by zombie movies - can't watch them. I really want to, but I know I'll be looking over my shoulder for the next 2 years. I can do the 28 days movies because they're not really zombies, (although they look like them & act like them.) Just the fact that they're people infected with a virus saves me a lot of terror.

When I was a kid, my brother and I went through a major zombie movie phase. That's all we rented. Check this one out Wolv. if it's all the guts and gore that freaks you out, this one's not gory at all and relies on none of the typical zombie movie cliches. Nevertheless, I found it a rather unsettling movie just given the nature of "the undead".

Lately, I've seen the new Blade Runner release. Every bit the engrossing spectacle that Blir says it is, if that can be achieved even more so from the original. A real nice expansive edition of the film for casual and serious BR fans. Seeing it at New York's Ziegfel theatre was pretty event-worthy. Always a pleasure to see movies there.

I also got to see Anton Corbijn's Control. I appreciated the matter-of-fact and neutral qualities to it. It was a plainly speaking look at Ian's loss OF control brought on by a devastating mix of personal relationship issues, youthful life inexperience and quickly rising fame filtered through his sensitive but drug tinged perspective, a result of treatment for his violent epileptic seizures. In spite of the obvious humor seen in the Joy Division / Factory records group of people, I can't express enough the sadness I felt watching this film especially knowing his demise and the level of biography in his lyrics that I've been fascinated by over the years. This may sound a bit strange, but to a certain extent I felt a bit of guilt for enjoying his music so much, seeing the recreations of how all those deep lyrics came to be. The scene of the Isolation recording session was the most memorable for me. Maybe I'm just in this head space because I'm still in disbelief that I visited Jim Morrison's grave only a week ago, another profound poet / writer / singer who left us too soon and too tragically.

Other recent flicks include Eddie Murphy's Delerious, still a trip to this day, and Out Of Africa, always a pleasure to see Meryl Streep perform.

I got duped the other day: I DVR'd a movie called "Face", which was described on the TV menu as an asian ghost story/CSI kind of thing. What I got was a Chinese-American chick-flick called "Face". Of course, we were ten minutes into it before we realized that no boogeyman was going to show up. But, we were hooked, so there you go. It was an ok movie.

We have a big stack o' stuff from Blockbuster (Knocked Up, Transformers, 28 weeks later) and we're heading off to see the new Wes Anderson movie tomorrow...
