You see how that works? We just have dollars. Nothing extravagant like fucking dollars.
Oh no...I'm wrong. Our former governor, Elliot Spitzer had fucking dollars. Perhaps even collected from the taxpayers. Maybe even from me. So I may have spent money on prostitution and really didn't get a chance to enjoy it.
Hey Philly! Guess where our tax dollars were spent. Gas and ass.

[:D] Nice observation.

To stay on topic:
On the way to the mall this morning I paid $3.69 a gallon. On the way home from the mall the gas was $3.75 a gallon. That was within an hours time. CRAZY!![:p]

I can't decide which way is the best way to look at things:

I'm unemployed (but I'm not spending money on gas!)

Or:

I'm not spending money on gas (because I'm unemployed!).

*sigh* I suppose they are the same thing. I'm just trying to be positive, and keep my chin up, and be all zen about things ... and all that shit. [:D]

I too have been noticing an price increase just between the time that I pass a gas station that is near my house on the way to work in the mornings, and then passing it as I come home in the p.m. It's discomfiting.

*pokes head up through final exams*

Charleston still continues to have some of the lowest prices in the nation. We are currently running at about $3.47/gal

I'm ready to buy a damned mule.... And I feel sheepish complaining after seeing what some of y'all are paying.

Urrrrgh.

That's a great price. I just filled up with 87 octane on Long Island. $3.839 a gallon. Super Plus runs nears $4.10

The Thursday before last, our prices were around 3.45 - 3.50. I drove down south to North Carolina over the weekend to visit my parents. The prices all along Route 81 were about the same as Syracuse so I wasn't too worried. I managed to get gas at 3.39 just over the Virginia border on Sunday & FOOLISHlY figured the prices remained around 3.50 the rest of the way up.

How wrong I was...as I got closer to NY the prices rose to about 3.65. I don't know why I assumed the cost wouldn't rise over the weekend. It's around 3.75 now.

I'm going to buy an Ox & a cart.

Closer and closer to $4.00 !

Chicago Tribune tells us the average is now around $3.75/ gal (might change as you drive home from work tonight, lol).

For averages around the country:

http://www.gasbuddy.com/GB_Price_List.aspx

Arizona is the lowest at $3.55, my state New Mexico is $3.76, and Connecticutt, Hawaii, and Alaska all average ABOVE $4.00.
