It wasn't me but my sons friend found wad of cash totaling $600 while he was sweeping up a movie theater. He told management but refused to let them see it or know how much there was or hand it over to them saying that he didn't trust them. He told them that if anyone comes in saying that they lost some cash, he would turn it over to them as long as they had the correct amount and how it was when they lost it (rolled up with a rubberband).

After 1 month and no inquiries he kept it. When he told management how much he found they threatened to fire him for not turning it in. They never did fire him and the cool part about it is he bought me the Rhino comp "Left of the Dial". Good kid.

Not cash but I found a brand spanking new Visa card on the floor at JCPennys last week. The thought did cross my mind for a second.
But I walked around the store calling the woman's first name on the card until I found her. It was an old lady, so I am glad I located her!

Leaving work in the underground parking garage for lunch I found what I thought was a $20 bill laying near my rear tire, it was two $20s folded together, so the most I've ever found is $40 bucks... the person probally pulled a quick 40 from the ATM and lost it... My gain--I had a great lunch that day!!! [:D]
