I watched Obama's speech today. It was about what I expected with a "tough times ahead" and "let's make America strong again" vibe. Your standard inaugural speech and not the disaster the right are making it out to be nor the miracle the left are.
The closing rhyme from that Reverend was certainly bizarre though. "When the yellow man is mellow, man" , etc.
It seemed wildly inappropriate for the occasion.

Hmm, I just got a response from an e-mail I sent to a friend regarding the rhyme by Rev. Joseph Lowery. Evidently he's riffing on an old blues song.

Fixed the thread (close those tags, enzfan[;)]) and ... yes, I'm still here serving another term.

Anyway, good to see that the changing of the guard has finally taken place. If nothing else I'm looking forward to having a president that can speak coherently and one who is willing to listen to opposing viewpoints (McCain certainly would have done this too). Huge job ahead ... I don't expect miracles but I do have high hopes.

It's just cool to have a president that can talk in complete sentences. [;)]

Seriously, I liked his speech and I hope he can deliver. He has most of America behind him, and that is a great start. It will be amazing to see what great things we can pull off as a nation if we all work together.

^^^ exactly my thoughts we can't expect to do the same things and have different results, I kinda have a renewed sense of what it is to be an American....we take so much for granted these days.

Did you know..............that the US have given our country at least 30 million dollars in aid last year so we Filipinos, especially our president , are kissing Obamas black ass for the next 4 years.

A better idea would be to just stop breeding so much and take care of your own people instead of begging for handouts. Just a thought.
