Wow, not even close. "Little people" as opposed to my self-mocking reference to some sort of imagined and arrogant "in crowd"...one that might use a term like "indubitably"?? [lol, I was misspelling the fooking word this whole time, doh!]

But anyway, sorry, I didn't realize your insecurities could tip you so embarrassingly off the deep end. "My bad, I never oughtn't 'a done that."

Wow, I must have missed an episode. Can't we go back to discussing things like the difference between immanent, imminent, and eminent?

I don't really know what to call it but "episode" works as well as anything. To me, it conjures up images of a psychotic Edith Bunker throwing shit and ranting and raving at Archie. Yeah, I'd say that's fairly accurate.

Rubbeet: seriously - stay on topic and drop it already. Stop allowing your personal battles to spill over into the next available thread.

So much for Happy Holidays, eh?[xx(] Carry on grammar cops.

That's "jipped" dufus...and can "jipped" be truly used as a state of feeling or being? Can you truly be in a state of jippedness or rather of having "gotten" jipped. Perhaps it would be more correct to say "I feel that I was jipped".

<br>One troubling thing I hear constantly is "Flustrated." Sorry, you're either "flustered," or "frustrated," you can even be both, but it doesn't make one word!
I think we could have a useful and descriptive new word here. [:D] Who hasn't felt both those feelings at once? [;)]
I'm totally for combining multiple words into one. Why have Grammy nominees when you could have Gramminees? Sacrifice flies when you could have sacriflies? We should all strive to be more efficient. [:D]

I must be more in touch with the urban thang than you...

Edit: never mind...further background indicates it's derived from "gypsies" who would presumably "gyp" people.

Now what's the rule on contractions? I thought I remembered being taught as a young Moddy Mod that you add the apostrophe to the end of the first word and then put the second word to it, all shortened. For example, "Are'nt". But I've seen it written as "Aren't". I'm sure I was'nt (<-?) taught wrong but maybe I don't remember correctly. Funny, because English was always my best subject. Seriously, I always got 90s and 100s on grammar, spelling, etc. Maybe something happened in all the years between school and when I started typing on the internet just about every day [:I] In my line of work as a designer, the more inellectual facets of the mind are barely exercised [V]

I'm glad we have KYYX, who is an English teacher, here to clear things up for us [8)]
