Cheeburger Cheeburger in Plainview. They Have 110 different shakes or malts to choose from. I think I had something like a chocolate peanut butter cup shake.

We just ate at a Cheeburger Cheeburger a few weeks ago. It was really good! I was surprised at all the shakes.

How about deli sandwich? Mine was an Italian sub (salami, mortadella and prosciutto and parmesan with a vinegar-y sauce). It was at a hole-in-the-wall in Amarillo, Texas, of all places. It's no longer there...

I went to the Spaghetti Warehouse maybe 16 - 17 years ago when they first opened. I thought it was cool. I have no idea where they are though...I know it's somewhat close to my house, but on a weird side street in a "not so great" neighborhood. There are tons of awesome little family owned Italian Places here and they usually trump the big chain places for me. Luigi's is fairly amazing, it's worth looking up. It's on the southside of town, not a good neighborhood, the restaurant has no atmosphere, but the food is more than great & that's all that matters. It's been around since the mid-1950's.

I don't remember the exact location either (one of our friends drove) but, yes, I remember it being in a "not so great" neighborhood. We had to pass through some dimly lit streets that housed factory buildings. Nonetheless, the restaurant area, itself, was pretty active and the atmosphere was fun and...oh yeah...the food was good. The portions were huge and I left nothing on my plate.

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

The Spaghetti Warehouse is located in this scary nether world adjacent to Syracuse's Little Italy neighborhood. It's sandwiched in between all these crumbling warehouses, abandoned factories and a bunch of on ramps for Interstate 81. Somehow they have managed to thrive in that location for more than a decade and a half.

Wolvie will vouch that there are many great little family run Italian restaurants like Luigi's all over the city. Honestly you can find just about any kind of cuisine you may crave.

But I have to give a shout out to the Moosewood in Ithaca, New York as the best place for vegetarian dining in the Central/Finger Lakes Region.

Sushi Samba in Miami Beach. Incredible sushi plus insane people watching. Better than the original New York location (around 15th-20th streets?). Not cheap. Though I'd be up for slumming it and checking out one of the NYC locations with some folks here.

Bagels: There was this place on Flatlands Ave. in Canarsie, Brooklyn. The smell coming out of there was nothing short of divine. I'll never forget it.

True story: The best pizza and bagels are in New York because of the water we have here. There are pizza and bagels places around the country that have New York water flown in for that authenticity.

Next up: Chicken soup.

It should be noted that both of these establishments serve thin crust pizza, and NO SLICES[}:)]

Totono's of Coney Island is the best Still makes only pies and had the reputation for being a pizza Nazi. If he did not like you he tossed you out. It is brick oven of course.

For the best square slice you must go to Spumoni Gardens. Too good to even describe. Always packed. Look up both places to see the ratings of being best.
