<br>Hutter, you know damn well the real issue is the inflammatory stance of 'the great santini' -- I find it very unusual for a newcomer to display that level of arrogance, and I don't put it past Jimbo or some other member to do something like this. Maybe you disagree and that's fine, however if it's true then it's really pathetic. I can tell this person has a personal grudge for certain people here, and I find that really distasteful and arrogant for a newcomer.

After dealing with the likes of Andy, I can do with less of this arrogant, intolerant, disruptive attitude. In short, I'm tired of people who feel they can shit all over this board for their own amusement. Andy comes to mind. I've spent a lot of $$$ relocating my site to a new provider and I find this kind of abuse insulting and disrespectful. Yeah, you might say I'm pissed off! [:(!]

And seriously, do you really think I'm trying to quash all conservative viewpoints? Please ... just becuase there's a liberal or progressive majority here? Hey, not my problem! It's just that I've noticed the conservative leaning types here -- perhaps because they know they are in the minority -- seem to feel it's okay to lash out at other members and resort to cheap insults and general intolerance rather than have an open discussion ... hence the wounded animal behavior I speak of: angry, emotionally-charged and directed at the "known liberals".

And I'll be honest, as a moderate (though obviously liberal to certain people here[:D]), I find many of the left-leaning views to be tired, redundant and predictable. Seriously, I do. Views from both sides and preferably in-between absolutely have their place and should be tolerated, but not like this excrement. This member henceforth locked and the topics have been re-opened. If you view that as "censoring" conservative viewpoints, then that only speaks volumes. Just look at this guy's attitude towards others here. That's where it crosses the line. And god, it's so f'ing childish too![xx(]

[/quote]

Ah, you must be the principal here. Please, don't send me to detention sir, I promise I'll behave.

By behave I mean answer the "tired, redundant and predictable" leftist garbage here with "tired, redundant and predictable" kicks to the groin. I'm not a neo-con or anything like that. I don't know this Jimbo or Andy you speak of. What I do see are a bunch of space cadets trying to pass for Internet gods. Your "emotionally-charged" liberals are exactly why someone like me LOVES coming here. In fact, I love "emotionally-charged" conservative nutjobs just as much. Either way, I try to kick them into the center.

If you can't deal with it, tough. I don't intend on ruining your board, Paulsen.

My 2 cents here to back up Mike.

Hutter, you act like MikeP doesn't have a significant history here of being extremely level-headed and obliging. He's got HUGE equity built up over a long time, long before your incessant posting arrived on the scene. You need to take that equity into consideration before you over-analyze some semantics and try to use that to crucify him. This is completely unwarranted.

Just how many members has MikeP banned for being conservative? Just how many conservative OR liberal trolling has he chimed in on? Rarely ever! I'm pretty sure the only reason he chose to do so now is the offensive nature of some of Santini's posts. "Faggot"? "Pussy"? Inferring pedophilia? You're choosing to let that slide, but you wanna bury Mike for his political leanings or what he has or hasn't spoke out on?!

And Santini, if it was just you badgering back and forth with those who would chose to thusly engage, it wouldn't have a raised an eyebrow. If you want to roll around in the mud, you're free to do so and you're somewhat on your own...to a point. I didn't have a huge problem with your responses until you got unacceptably offensive. I certainly thought your tone was beligerent and pestering to begin with, but hey, that's what you potentially expose yourself to if you engage in these sort of things. But once you started lighting into people, that had to be called out as being way over the line.

Hutter, don't even begin to try to justify that kinda crap. You're picking the wrong fight at the wrong time.

And this place isn't leaning left or right. If idiots want to blather about their leanings, then either just sit back and watch them make fools of themselves or give them a sharp retort. I've put in my opinions at some of the ridiculous liberal and conservative points of view then moved on. What's the problem with just doing that? What's the reason for the huge angst? It bothers you so much that you wanna now play for keeps with Mike? Dude, get a grip on yourself. I've supported your's, mine, and others' right to spew, but this is just ridiculously whacked out from reality. Damn dude! I really wish you hadn't gone here. [V]

Okay Thunderlips you're welcome to join in, but I've dealt with some trolls as of late and I've really had it with personal insults and distastefulness. Emotionally-charged centrists or nihilists ... just what we need![V]

A lot of the veteran members here get away with more, but they typically know when to say when. It's too easy to get so caught up in what you feel is right or absolute, that you feel you have to enlighten others and show them the "error of their ways." That works both ways though. I think we all have things we can learn from by having political discussions, but alas, it always seems to devolve into name-calling and posturing. No wonder politics is always such a hot button issue, particularly at a time when the country is polarized like an electromagnet.

Am I having a bad day? Yeah, you could say that![V]

Thanks for backing me up Blir! [8D]

I mean, is it just me or is anyone else getting tired of the "spank me daddy, I've been a bad boy!" goading on the board by certain members? Constantly trying to bait me and the mods into banning or censoring them so they can feel persecuted and cry 'foul'! A self-loathing personality complex, perhaps? Get over it ... jeezus.

Blir, you yourself told me to post whatever I wanted, as long as it was honest. I'm just calling it how I see it, right or wrong.

And please, don't lump me into any groups, whether it's with Santini, Stella, or whoever. I was just calling MikeP on what I percieved as hypocrisy. Blir, you see Stella for what he/she is, but that didn't stop you for calling my comment to her hateful genocidal proposal "ill-thought out". How was it ill-thought out? How? Because I didn't break out some concordance and spew several paragraphs? The strongest truths are simple ones. "If it clucks like a chicken, pecks like a chicken..."

If it offended MikeP our yourself for my stand that everyone deserves a say, even trolls (which I hate, BTW), then look at Stella and tell me, honestly, that he/she isn't a troll. No posts about music. No music to share. Nothing at all, but disruptive marxist dogma that serves no purpose but to poison impressionable minds.

BTW: To say that I condone any "trolls" actions is bullshit, and you know it, Blir. You know what that troll Andy sent to my email address, and you know how pissed off that made me.

Look, if you think I act childish then you should read the responses I can elicit from your good-standing members. Isn't it interesting how a person you consider to be "level-headed and progressive" can turn out to be just as bad as a troll?

That's the fun that I get out of it, Mike. Personally, I don't care if you ban me, my IP, etc etc a million times. It doesn't make me persecuted but it does peak my curiousity about this place and the goons you have on here.

Blir, censor away if you must. I'm a big boy, I can take it.

Everything within reason dude. You were asking me if "this" was cool or if "that" was cool...I DON'T F&*KING KNOW!!!!! There's no manual for social interaction. Use your judgement. BE an adult and have a personal filter for chrissakes! Yeah, you're free to say it. You're also free be called out for it too.

And yeah, I do think Stella is a baiting troll. What of it in relation to this discussion?! That is that and this is this. Stop looking for justifications in semantics and minutiae.

Here's where it's in relation: If you, as a mod, see Stella as what he/she is, a troll, then why does another mod, 2Nu, defend Stella's insane comments, and slam my realistic point of view to Stella's hate-post?

You're a reasonable guy, Blir. Look at this from my point of view and tell me you wouldn't be just as puzzled at the hypocrisy here.

Hey hutter, the answer you seek is that 2tu has a heavy bias and shows his bias through the defense of trolls who happen to appease his warped views, which is exactly why having moderators on a discussion board is counterproductive. They usually wind up inciting more hatred than they stop, that is if they actually interfere.

Freedom of speech?!

Your opinion, his opinion, my opinion, Mike's opinion, sphincters, colons, and rectums...we all have them, they all stink.

And cut the childish '2tu' shit Santini. Chose to participate with at least some decency or chose to be banned.

Hutter, dude, McCarthyism went out of vogue along time ago.

You seem to be inferring one hell of a lot from Stella's posts, you seem to be suggesting that by pointing out a few negative points of capitalism, that one is calling for the killing of millions.

In case I missed something, please point me to the post where Stella is calling for genocide.

I am just curious, as new members "Thunderlips" and "the great santini", why would you join a new wave music forum and start forming opinions on everything but music?
