Actually, I agree...These types of drinks are too artifical, sugary, and processed for me, so I don't buy 'em. The one I had today was handed free to me as a promotion, so I thought why not?
The trace amounts of amino acids and B Vitamins/ herbs they put in these drinks is so small, anyway; I'm not sure one can really gain any true effect from them, anyway. I'd rather take plain straight herbs/ minerals/ vitamins from fruits and vegetables!
Yes, I juice occasionally, and it's totally awesome mare! Not much can beat that taste! the concentration of real vitamins/ minerals you get, oh my. The vibrant colors. And your brain & body feel so nice afterwards. We had a small, but servicable juicer for a while. But unfortunately, at a party once, somebody accidentally (well, partly...we were all really baked on magic muffins) dropped an entire mango in there, totally not realizing that there was a massive seed! Which ganked it all up.
One resson I asked this topic was that energy drinks are MASSIVELY huge among teens, including the teens I teach. I can't believe how many I see drinking these all day long! And I just read this study saying that those drinks are counter-productive anyway.
