Music Magazines

I'm an avid magazine fan, have subscriptions to just about everything under the sun music related:

The Big Takeover, Amp, Blender, Rolling Stone, Spin, Magnet, etc. and am always on the lookout for good magazines. I like each for different reasons. I like the reviews and like to keep up to date on the latest bands and releases. I even know if one magazine has a bad review, I go out and buy it immediately![:D]


What do you read, like, enjoy, hate etc.?????

Blender is funny as hell it reminds me of the old Creem.

I also like Uncut (is that still around), and those two thick music magazines from England, I forgot the names, but they're great -- they'll do a 20-page story on an artist, and they always pull up stuff from the past like Sex Pistols, Queen, Bowie and sometimes give you a CD . ... oh yeah, MOJO! That's it! And there's one more ... it will come to me later.

But nothing beats the music magazines I grew up with: Trouser Press, Flexi-Pop, Rock Scene (about NYC bands).....Circus, Hit Parader .. they may still be around but they went metal.

I used to like a fanzine they used to sell at Two-Tone in Passaic NJ called "Junk Punk and Pasttimes" -- if anyone knows Lisa who wrote it, have her email me (I say this because people from my past have found me here before and emailed me, that's why I'm posting so much lately -- I'm very excited!)

And for the FEMALE READERS:

Okay and non-music related, a magazine called More about older models and women's things like clothes and shit. It's good there's a market for it, but it's a little little little bit stuffy ... if More was more like JANE (and everyone knows JANE) that would be tres cool. The women over 40 need an older version of Jane, that's it! LOL!

I love NME but read it online.
I also like an argentinian magazine that's called "Los Inrockuptibles"... that had last year an uber cool interview to New Order.
Argentinian Rolling Stone is not bad either.

Only bothered to read [i]Cool And Strange Music[/i]. There were also some European film magazines I used to read to check out what scores were out. I wish I still had those mags.
