I love the infusion of flavors that is Asian Cuisine. I prefer Chinese traditional cooking (not the Hong Kong Garden take away variety) and Thai over Japanese and Korean...I love how in one dish the Chinese cater to every taste bud....and they sometimes tie it up with a bit of Spice. Same with Thai although kick up the heat. Chinese cooking uses every all the animals we typically eat in the west (beef, pountry, pork and ish) other Asian cultures are not so embracing.

But I am with you Marv....when you marry into an Italian family you never go back to cheap imitation olive Garden bullshit! Gimme Nona whipping something up in the kitchen on a Sunday and I am there!

Having grown up in an Italian family eating Spaghetti every Sunday, I rarely eat it anymore.

Mexican Food, not Taco Bell style but any place that ends in "erto's" (Roberto's, Filiberto's, etc). I can eat it 24/7.

On a side note, Carmines in Times Square is one of my favorite Italian restaurants, eat there at least once a year (they even have one in the Bahamas now, just ate their last week!)[:D]

When I was in New York City about 8 years ago, I ate at Carmines. The Food was FANTASTIC. I miss New York. [:(]

Funny, I've lived in New York my whole life and never eaten at Carmine's. I've heard nothing but good things about it though. But in New York, it's not hard to find great Italian food. There's this place by me called La Parma...delicious...family style dining also...perfect [^]

I don't go out for Italian much - it's the old stereotype that my Italian wife would kill me if I got caught eating someone else's eggplant parmesan.

I dig the blended cuisines. French-Vietnamese is a classic, but I've recently discovered a killer French-Indian place run by a Sikh gentleman traditionally trained in France. Not to mention straight-Indian, done wicked hot. A pan-Pacific dish of Asian-infused fresh seafood can also be treat. Ordering up a huge variety of Spanish tapas washed down with wine can be amazingly fun. There's sushi of course. Brazilian mixed grill rocks. And there's no better comfort food to me than my self-cooked Korean food - mostly soups and marinated barbecues.

Hell what don't I like! I have a real weakness for Weinerschnitzel's Chili-Cheese Dogs which I can eat again now that they've got turkey dogs. Even greasy Mexican food from those little East LA taquerias are insanely good - mmmm, "cinco tacos al pastor para llevar por favor!" [:p]

My favoutite is Italian but I also enjoy Mexican and Arabian cuisine very much.

I love Mexican and Aisian food. Sometimes I like Italian; however I made the mistake of eating at Olive Garden last night and, just bleeech! I have to eat there about once a year to remind myself how much I hate it.

Really, my favorite food is just a big slab of steak. Give me a big ribeye and I'm perfectly happy. I don't want any steak sauce or *vomits* ketchup with it--I just want the taste of the meat.

I really love Italian more than anything. There's a little family run place about 20 minutes away that my mother used to go to when she was a kid. Same people run it still.

I really love just general homestyle, all-american stuff too. I have pretty simple tastes![;)]

A good Filet once in a while is pretty damn good too!

I am on a Spanish-esque food kick. I also have a thing for South American peoeple. I love hot food. I FREAKING LOVE HOT FOOD. And those people know how to party...and eat...and South American girls are freakishly hot (IMHO). One day, Im gonna live in Central America-

Italians rock. Those that I have met have all smoked a lot. (AGAIN: THOSE THAT I HAVE MET <- this is to prevent people from pouncing all over me). I love carbs...I love pasta more than life itself...and cheese.....italian cheeses ROCK..and I wish I could spend time in Europe.

on a hangover day ...

- a big mac and later on a chicken chow mein...brought to me of course!! i'm usually FAR too delicate to actually get up and do stuff when i've had a big night out the night before!


any other day ...

- my own shepherds pie as i can cook sometimes and ive been complimented on it!!

- salad especially iceburg lettuce with red onions and homemade slaw!!

- celery as its yummy!!

On topic however--Thai food is my favorite and I love a good deli. New Orleans food is great too I miss it.
