Hi everyone after my tax return I just bought a new $900 gas range[:D] so I can cook like the guys on TV like Emeril, Iron Chef, and that cuitie Rachel Ray[:p]

So I am looking at getting All-Clad but the thing is they are soooo expensive the only thing more expensive is Viking cookware. To get the pieces I want I would have to spend over $1800 [:(]. I am super lazy so I want stainless so I can put in the dishwasher and teflon nonstick sucks so count that out. I was also looking at Calphalon One Infused Anodiezed cookware it is a little bit less that All Clad. I was also thinking about the Emerilware which is way cheaper and is also the house brand at Bloomingdale's but it is sooo poser cookware. It has an aluminum disk, but I can get all the peices I want for about $700 or so.

Any feed back??

Hey Quite Life congrats on the new gas range.

I've had the same set of Revereware for almost 20 years now & have never had a problem with them. I know it's not upscale or glamorous stuff - but I love them!

Yeah I am looking for upscale and glamorious stuff[;)].

I got a new nice stove so I want new nice cookware but need advice. Hopefully there is a chef out there in NWO to lead me in the right direction.

You're absolutely right - old copper bottomed Revere Ware just doesn't cut it in the looks department! I'm waaaaaay too practical.

Don't get me wrong but a 10 peice copper set at William and Sanoma will cost me $1600[:0]

we have the mutliclad cuisinart. it is not as heavy like
allclad but allclad can be to heavy. they have a poring
lip but the allclad do'nt even have that! ever see on food
tv network they never cook with anything but allclad? seems
fishy to me!

My preference is Le Crueset enameled cast iron. It can be expensive but if you keep checking internet sites like Chef's
Catalog you can get some good deals on sets. You're not supposed to put it in the dishwasher but I do so occasionally, without bad results.

Nothing high-dollar here. We're using a set of Cook's Essentials that my MIL bought us for Christmas one year. I actually like it a lot, but it does have the nonstick stuff on it.

And Wolver, we also use a set of copper-bottomed Revere Ware that was a gift when we got married almost 10 years ago. I like it just fine, too.

Le Crueset is great stuff. I am looking to get the 5 qt Dutch Oven.
