What kind of TV?

"Yay, our old TV finally broke! I finally get that killer HDTV!!!"
Or so I thought. My wife reminded me we're in the midst of putting in a new kitchen...ouch. The new HD would require new furniture on top of whatever obscene amount the TV itself costs. So I relent and get a Walmart special 32" RCA that fits the existing furniture for $279. My wife is very consoling and I'll shamelessly play it up for sexual favors. But it's a social stigma I'll just have to live with for awhile.
Or is it? What boat are you all in?

Way ahead of you Blir...just picked this up. Check out the size of the screen on this baby. Yeah, nothing screams quality like a DuMont.

I feel your pain there Blir, just got house re vinyled with new gutters $$$$$$$$ cha ching(looks like a new home from the street now). Got a 36 inch upstairs and down, they will have to do for a while too many other things take precedence over a nice big screen lcd. Next up new garage, strom, and front doors.

Blir this is so funny, my wife, just a few weeks ago, said, will you please go get a flat tv to put in the living room, that big screen is taking up too much space!! After nearly falling on the floor, I grabbed the keys and peeled out on my way to Fry's Electronics and bought a sweet Mitsubishi DLP at half of what I thought I'd have to pay. When I got home, my wife said, still too big, but that would work perfect in our bedroom[:0][:D]. Raced back to the store, picked up a 42" LCD - bottom of the line cheap tv (that works awesome by the way) and still spent less for the 2 TV's than I originally planned. It was like I won the lottery![:D]

Damn! That's beyond my wildest dream. I hate to tell you this, coop, but I don't think you're eligible for BJ and Steak Day any more. [:p][:D]

I'm still loking at my beautiful 48" Toshiba that I bought in 1995 for about $1,700. Though I would love a flat screen HDTV at some point as they look amazing -- eventuually I'll get one.

I'd take a modern CRT over any type of projection any day.

My old TV died this fall. So, I ran out to BJ's wholesale & got a really nice tube that has a flat screen. I don't need something hugely expensive....yet!
