Okay, everyone: mark the second Saturday in October on your calendar, because that's when we'll all convene in Byron, Illinois, for the Turkey Testicle Festival. I was thinking, just this morning, that October needs more holidays.

Instead of my birthday being on June 6 (National Applesauce Cake day) I really would prefer it to be on June 8th - "Name your poison day." Cyanide + Wolver = Cyaniverine. It's delicious, but deadly.
Just like lead paint.

February 19 is . . . . National Chocolate Mint Day
Blech! Two flavors that should never pair up.
I'm changing my birthday to:
February 3 is . . . . . Cordova Ice Worm Day
It sounds much more interesting.

Hmm, October 15 - White Cane Safety Day.
Does that mean I get to yell at the blind kid at my church who manages to whack me in the leg with that stick of his every time he walks by?
"I may be bad, but I feel good."

Boo-ya! My birthday is July 8, Video Games Day. Beats the heck out of my wife's birthday, National Battery Day (Feb. 18). Oh yeah, I need to restock the vibrator.
