Here's info forwarded from very busy member Randal_Roq (big thanks Don!):
<a href="http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060530/en_nm/bladerunner_dc;_ylt=AnmfnjL7iN5XiyzAT16u9pGjTq0B;_ylu=X3oDMTA3YXYwNDRrBHNlYwM3NjI">Release info for a remastered Director's Cut and then a Definitive Cut</a>
You all know this was a classic 80s movie with great portent about the coming cyber world, genetics, the environment, social emalgamation, and even new musical forms. When we had the original threatrical cut, everyone craved a director's cut. We we got that, people missed the original dubbed cut. When Ridley still said neither was his final vision, hardcore BR geeks ranted incessantly about an imagined "Ultimate Cut". It's looks like all that is coming!!! [:p][:p][:p]

I hope this really does happen!
They've been trying to get this release off the ground since the 20th ann. (2002)
Let's all keep our fingers crossed.

Good news indeed, Blir.
BTW for all the serious BR fans out there get and read Paul Sammon's Future Noir: The Making of Blade Runner. Great book
Now for the next question:
Can "A Scanner Darkly" approach the brillance of this film?

[/quote]No, I can't see how.
If anyone's interested I have The BBC docu "On the Edge of Blade Runner".
I could hub it if you like.

Oh snap.
Maybe they will release some of the unreleased soundtrack.
I dunno- I spent so much time and money finding the CDs...that I better have all of the soundtrack by now....or someones getting kicked.
Somebody help me think of a signature.

HOOORAY!!!! FINALLY! You know Blir BR was the first VHS 20 years ago and then the first DVD I bought 8 years ago. I was excited when they said it was coming out 4 years ago and then finally 3 years ago and somewhat enthuised 2 years ago and hoo humed when Scott confirmed it last year. Can't wait now!! I want everything all cuts, ST everything and please please fix the wires, the out of synch audio, fix the obvious different Ser#, fix the boots/sneakers. BR fans will know what I am talking about.

Try reading the book that the movie is based on, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Philip K Dick, its better than the movie.

A collection of leaves of paper, parchment, vellum, or other material (whether written, printed, or blank), affixed in in some manner to one another, with or without a case or cover. Sometimes it has stories of big blond guys taking big bosom women in their " I can't believe it's not butter arms"
