Sorry for the grody images, but I needs to knows...how do you go about removing a pimple on your butt? It's a pain in the ass(pun intended) anytime I sit down. Would you take care of it with run of the mill acne medicine, or is there a special ass acne medicine out there that I'm not privy to? Believe it or not, this is a serious inquiry, folks.

Just try and keep it to only one, wouldn't want an outbreak then head off to the nude beach and wake up with a blind person trying to read your ass. [:)]

Step One: Walk up to your neighbor's house
Step Two: Remove pants
Step Three: Ring doorbell
Step Four: Bend over while asking your neighbor to pop the pimple on your ass. [:D]

Sounds like it may have been an ingrown hair as opposed to a pimple. I dont have pimples back there but got a nasty ingrown hair while in the army driving a tank. Lance that fucker, theres probably green infected puss and a curled up crusted hair in that thing. Ouch! By the way... T.M.I. !!!!!!!

Oh Gawd, I can't believe I'm replying, and I'm sure a medical professional could give you better advice, but as a long-time acne sufferer (on my face, dudes) I have much sympathy.
Assuming you don't have any reason to think this is a deep skin infection (like fever or severe inflammation), the best thing to do is treat the swelling and infection.
Popping the pimple, while often strangely satisfying, is likely to spread the infection to other tissues. Similarly, though a warm compress will bring it to a head, it can also spread the infection.
I would suggest cleaning the surface with alcohol and then applying a large dab of 10% benzoyl (sp) peroxide acne cream, assuming you don't have access to a prescription topical antibiotic gel. (The petroleum jelly in topical OTC antibiotics like Neosporin will just make the pimple worse.) WARNING: BP will bleach fabrics.
A salicylic acid acne medication will help bring down the swelling. Visine or a similar vasoconstricter eyedrop can also help with redness and swelling (good for those big honkers on the nose).
Good luck.
P.S. Ben is right, in that location it's probably an ingrown, but Dr. Hex still wouldn't recommend lancing it at home.

I still think it's an ingrown hair. It has all the tell tail signs and if so needs to be lanced or cut out.

Yeah Ben, I think you're right, but I once got a staph infection from home surgery on an ingrown eyebrow hair, so I would be leery of taking care of it at home, especially in that . . . region. [;)]

Thanks for the somewhat serious advice, guys. Maybe I should make an doctor's appointment. Is there a kind of doctor that specializes in ass acne?

If there is, there is someone at my gym who needs an appointment.

It only hurts when I sit down. I kinda doubt that it's a ingrown hair. I had one (like Motors) in my nose several years ago, and the ass pimple is a whole 'nother sensation. I'm tempted to break out the electric sander...

Got some doctor creds here:
While it could be from an ingrown hair, it may very well be just a plain ol' boil. These are usually caused by staph bacteria, and can occur for no real good reason... or perhaps by scratching your ass with a little too much enthusiasm.
If it's a sizeable painful lump you'd probably be best off having a doctor look at it and lance it, if necessary. It'll heal quickly that way. Any old family doctor or internist should be able to address it. He'll clean it properly and remove the goo. Most physicians will then treat it with either topical or oral antibiotics (or both), although if left to their own devices sometimes these things can spontaneously drain and heal on their own.
But why wait?
